First Landing State Park wedding, Virginia Beach wedding, Virginia Beach wedding photographer, Virginia Beach photographers, Church of Ascension wedding pictures, gold wedding shoes
One of the things I truly enjoy about being a wedding photographer is that even when I have photographed a venue before, the people and moments that unfold always make for uniquely beautiful photographs. And it doesn’t matter if it’s 200 guests or 30, small and large weddings look beautiful at the Church of Ascension in Virginia Beach and at First Landing State Park. It was great to be back at the church, and I had not had a First Landing State Park wedding reception so now I know even more great spots for pictures there!
It was the perfect April day and Shannon, the beautiful bride, was practically glowing – even before she put on her wedding dress. Carl, the happy groom, sported special gold shoes for the occasion and everything went so smoothly that we were running a little ahead of schedule and had to wait a few minutes for the limo to pick up the happy couple at the church and drive them out to their First Landing State Park wedding reception. Shannon had Disney themed centerpieces and her family strung up white lights that framed their perfectly choreographed first dance and when the father of the bride teared up, I did too. The night ended before sunset with another beautiful dance framed by handmade ribbon wands and the newlyweds rode away in a white limo.
The families and friends came together to create a lot of personal touches for this wedding and it was a perfect fit for this young couple that was clearly, deeply, in love. Thank you Shannon and Carl for having me as a part of your day – over 500 photos coming your way by next weekend!!
