Based out of Newport News, VA they frequently work in Williamsburg and Virginia Beach and often travel to the Outer Banks and Washington, DC. Working together or individually, this photography duo blends into the background and captures each precious moment that tells the story of you, your family & your day just how you remember it. "Our secret is that we work closely with you," explains Heather, founder of HHP. "We ask a lot of questions to learn every detail that is important to you and then apply our newspaper experience to create a uniquely personal collection of photographs that will stand the test of time. We have the day-to-day experience of walking into unfamiliar situations (like the salon or your hotel room) & meeting people we've never met before, making everyone comfortable around the camera, and then capturing the unexpected moments and story of the day in a uniquely creative, fun, and unobtrusive way. Our ability to get outstanding photos from the unrehearsed moments that cannot be found on a photo checklist is what really sets up apart and our easy going personalities will have everyone thinking we are old friends." The intimate feeling of their photographs is created by using professional equipment, natural light when possible, and their ability to get close without you noticing them. They carry backup equipment (2-3 cameras) and work with other newspaper photographers (when you want two photographers for your day) with at least 10 years of experience who carry comparable equipment so you are always working with a professional. "We go to great lengths to do the best job for every couple and have been known to climb fences & hang out car windows to present you with a unique collection of photographs that tell your story," explains Rob. "We know how valuable our photographs will be to you and your families and we know that at the end of the night you will want to remember the day by the moments that flew by far too quickly, share them with others, and see the ones you missed.
